New Branding Will Designate Shared Branch Locations Primarily Offering Self-Service

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. (February 17, 2016) – CO-OP Financial Services is unveiling CO-OP Shared Branch express, designating shared branching services delivered primarily through self-service devices in both retail and in-branch environments. This new service and accompanying logo and branding will begin to be introduced to approximately 1,950 network locations and terminals in the coming weeks.

The CO-OP Shared Branch express label applies to CO-OP Shared Branch sites where self-service is available at the location. CO-OP Shared Branch express branding will help members make a clear distinction between full and self-service to more quickly find the exact level of service they desire or need.

“As in-branch and retail technology continues to evolve, it is critical to both keep pace with growing consumer demand for self-service, but also make sure that we are clearly identifying those services, to ensure a user experience that matches expectations,” said Stan Hollen, President/CEO, CO-OP. “The CO-OP Shared Branch express branding is a way for credit unions to embrace self-service, advance their branch transformation program and at the same time ensure member convenience.”

With their emphasis on self-service, CO-OP Shared Branch express locations enable members to skip teller lines, have 24/7 access to many locations and conduct their most frequent transactions quickly and easily. The branches can be found via the CO-OP Shared Branch locator, available on-line at http://www.co-opsharedbranch.org and a downloadable mobile app.

Self-service availability is a fast-growing delivery channel within the 5,400-branch strong CO-OP Shared Branch network, located in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., Guam and Puerto Rico. With more than 1,800 participating credit unions, the network comprises the third largest branch system in the financial services industry. The unique credit union shared branching concept enables members of participating credit unions to enter any branch in the network and perform transactions as if they were in their own home branch.

CO-OP Shared Branch express branding will be added to all relevant locations, machines and kiosks, as well as in-branch and retail sites. The locations will bear this logo:
