One assumes that healthcare spending is simply “all taken care of” in countries that have government-sponsored insurance coverage, but that assumption is not entirely true. Good news for organizations like Visa and Evolution Benefits, one of whom would like to see more of their brand in-country and the other seeking the means to leverage their built-in-American assets outside the US.

The Canadian debit card market has not embraced the card networks for general purpose cards, but prepaid cards are another matter and they can be used to open new markets. We see payment card technology as the way of the future for Canadian HCSAs.”
