China UnionPay has already built a global network of card-acceptance partnerships in different countries. And over the past several years, it has carefully and continuously expanded its issuing partnership outside of China as well. China UnionPay now has a Unites States partner in Bancorp to issue prepaid cards to U.S. travelers visiting China.

The first cards, featuring the UnionPay logo on their face, will be directed mainly at Chinese-American communities across the country.
The new UnionPay card provides payment options for cardholders in the US. It can be used in more than 90 percent of ATMs, 80 percent of US merchants and in all ATMs and businesses in the Chinese mainland as well as on UnionPay’s global network elsewhere.
China UnionPay has issuing partners in over 20 markets including Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Thailand.
