Prepaid Cards Gaining On Checks As Favorite Corporate Incentive

Young America recently surveyed 355 HR executives and found that 43 percent would add prepaid cards to their recognition solutions while 48 percent indicated that they would replace other types of rewards with prepaid cards.

Mercator’s Eighth Annual Open-Loop Prepaid Market Assessment & Prepaid Industry Overview indicates that just under one third of prepaid cards used for employee & partner incentives in 2010 were open-loop prepaid cards with the rest being closed-loop cards issued by merchants or online entertainment providers.
