Cantor Gaming has announced it will accept credit and debit cards for wagers. While not specified, it is presumed this will utilize the usual cash advance model of credit card transactions. From the company’s press release:

Cantor Gaming announced today that it will accept credit cards from most major issuers, including Visa®, MasterCard®, and Discover®, to fund race and sports wagering accounts. Cantor Gaming will also accept debit cards. Commencing immediately, this initiative offers sports betting patrons a fast and convenient way to place wagers. Mike Colbert, Race & Sports Book Risk Director at Cantor Gaming, said: “We are constantly looking for ways to enhance the enjoyment of our Cantor Race & Sports Books for sports wagering fans. Making the method of payment more convenient marked a logical next step for our Race & Sports Books.

Potentially important is Cantor’s presence in mobile wagering, which is coming to Nevada.

Cantor Gaming’s Android-compatible mobile sports wagering application enables gaming fans to place wagers on all Android devices, including cell phones and tablets.

In Cantor’s company description, it is noted:

Cantor Gaming is the first company licensed by the Nevada Gaming Commission to manufacture, distribute and operate a mobile gaming system in the state. We provide casinos with a complete mobile gaming solution, including a proprietary wireless gaming system, full back-office infrastructure and a portfolio of casino games.
