A New Challenger Bank Launches With Rich Debit Card Rewards

Mercator Advisory Group is pleased to announce the addition of Richard A. Hall, a 20-year financial services industry veteran, to its team of analysts as head of the company’s Commercial and Enterprise Payments Advisory Service.

Rick possesses a diverse view of the financial services industry and its product and technical needs and has had hands-on experience guiding financial institutions and consulting with companies to develop strategic use of technology to meet business requirements.

As director of Mercator Advisory Group’s Commercial and Enterprise Payments Advisory Service, Rick will concentrate on electronic accounts payable (EAP) products and solutions, including commercial cards, ACH, invoicing, and supply chain financing. He will also be tracking industry trends; mobile, global, and industry vertical solutions; and advances in technology for remittance information, data analytics, and reporting and documentation, as well as key industry networks and solutions providers.

“Rick Hall is a strong addition to our team. I am thrilled to have him on board and believe that his direct experiences at Associated Bank and First Bankcard, coupled with his consulting background, make him ideally suited to lead our Commercial and Enterprise Payments practice. His deep industry expertise will support Mercator’s C-level project assignments and senior consulting efforts. Bringing him onto the team further demonstrates Mercator’s commitment to service and unmatched depth of expertise in the payments space,” stated Robert Misasi, CEO of Mercator Advisory Group.

Prior to joining Mercator Advisory Group, Rick served as Senior Vice President of Treasury Management Product and Strategy for Associated Bank, where he was instrumental in building a business-to-business payments and invoicing network that facilitated $130 billion of B2B payments to over 200,000 network members in 2012. Before joining Associated Bank, Rick served as Commercial Card executive and Product Director for First Bankcard. In that role he oversaw product management activities for Commercial, Purchasing, Virtual, and Small Business card product lines and developed new market strategies for the Commercial Card division.

Rick’s work history also includes serving as Senior Consulting Manager for CEB TowerGroup and Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing at Rockland Trust Company.
