Symposium is Southeast’s premier FinTech event

ATLANTA (January 18, 2016) – TAG FinTech, the financial industry group of Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), announced today that it will be hosting its sixth annual TAG FinTech Georgia 2016 Symposium. The event will take place at the Atlanta Renaissance Waverly Hotel on Feb. 4, 2016. The TAG FinTech Georgia Symposium is the premier FinTech event of the Southeast, featuring high-profile financial technology leaders from all over Georgia and across the U.S. and profound, content-rich dialogue and networking. This year’s sessions include expert speakers and panelists discussing: The State of the FinTech Market, Commercial Payments, Mobile Payments, Compliance/ Security, and The Evolution of Acquiring.

This year’s event will see Brooks Smith, Founder and CEO of InComm, receive the FinTech Lifetime Achievement Award and become the latest inductee for the TAG FinTech Hall of Fame.

Attendees will see the pitches for the top finalist companies for this year’s TAG FinTech Innovation Award. This award recognizes Georgia startups that contribute to the FinTech ecosystem. The winner will receive a $50,000 grant.

The symposium will also feature the release of TAG FinTech’s much anticipated updated report on Georgia’s FinTech ecosystem. This new version will highlight the culture of innovation across the 90+ Georgia-based FinTech companies and highlight original research, a compilation of industry data, expert analysis, insights from local executives, and an update to the popular map of area FinTech firms.
