WAKEFIELD, Mass., USA – March 16, 2016 — The Interactive Financial eXchange (IFX) Forum announced that its 2016 Annual Meeting will take place April 11-13 in Norcross, Georgia, generously hosted by Forum member FIS.

The IFX Forum is an international non-profit industry association whose mission is to develop and promote the adoption of its open, interoperable standard for financial data exchange, IFX, which is available at no charge at http://bms.ifxforum.org/. The Forum’s members and subscribers span 16 countries on five continents.

IFX Forum members meet face-to-face several times each year. At these gatherings, attendees receive updates on Forum activities and plans, conduct official Forum business, and collaborate with peers in a variety of active Working Groups. The April meeting includes the Forum’s annual member reports and IFX Forum Board of Directors elections.

Registration for the meeting is now open. IFX Forum member companies may send any number of representatives to the meeting at no charge; non-members may attend for $695 per person. If a non-member attendee’s company joins the Forum within 90 days, the meeting fee will be applied to the first year’s membership dues.

In addition to developing the IFX specification, the Forum actively engages in international standards activity, including longtime liaison efforts with ISO and contributions to ISO 20022, a leadership role in the Remittance Coalition set up by the U.S. Federal Reserve, and Memoranda of Understanding with ASC X9, BIAN and EPASOrg/nexo. The Forum’s president, Richard Urban, will be a speaker at NACHA’s Payments 2016 event the week after the Norcross meeting.

The Forum welcomes additional members to join in all its activities. More information can be found at http://www.ifxforum.org/join/. The Forum also hosts a free IFX Discussion Forum, where knowledgeable Forum members and other subject matter experts will answer IFX-related questions from the public.
