Qualified test tool and accredited certification services accelerate the launch of EMV chip cards

September 25, 2017 – FIME’s personalization validation tool (PVT) has been qualified against the latest Cartes Bancaires (GIE-CB) PVT requirements. In parallel, its French laboratory has been accredited by Paycert to perform the corresponding certification services (Contrôle de la Personnalisation des Cartes). Issuers, card manufacturers and personalization bureaus can now accelerate personalization validation for a range of secure chip products. These include contact, contactless and dual interface EMV® cards, and near field communication (NFC) and contactless-enabled solutions.

FIME’s PersevalPro Issuer test tool, co-developed with Barnes International, automates the personalization validation testing process and enables testers to mitigate errors ahead of submission for formal certification. Combined with FIME’s consultancy and certification services, customers can now receive end-to-end project support for their EMV issuance projects.

“Across France, we’re seeing significant demand for contactless payments solutions. This enhances the consumer experience, but also increases complexities for issuers,” comments Guillaume Labendzki, Vice President Marketing at FIME. “This qualification allows issuers to confirm their product’s compliance throughout development, minimizing unwanted delays during certification.”

FIME is the implementation partner of choice for the financial services sector and is accredited by major international and domestic payment brands for card personalization validation services. It works with issuers around the world to ensure successful EMV issuance projects and to support the definition of EMV card profiles. Learn more about personalization validation.
