CFPB Reviewing Credit Card Rewards

While not boldly going where no man has gone before,Card.com announced that it plans to release a new prepaid card from CBSConsumer Products which feature many of the famous characters of the muchbeloved Star Trek television series and movies.

According to Card.com, the Star Trek prepaid card will beVisa branded, giving Trekkies the ability to use the card wherever Visa isaccepted on planet Earth. Furthermore, the funds will have FDIC insurance, andthe card carries no overdraft, late or check cashing fees. Consumers will alsobe able to access and monitor their transaction history from both a mobile andonline banking platform. “CARD.com gives Star Trek fans a unique way to engagetheir fandom all while utilizing this forward-thinking financial service,” saysCARD.com CEO Ben Katz.

Given the broad range of available characters from the StarTrek television series, Card.com is providing a number of different options forfans to choose from. Select characters from Star Trek: The Original Series,Star Trek: Voyager, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Enterprise willall be available.

Though whether the cards will be and always shall be afriend to consumers, only time will tell. But hopefully for fans of Star Trek,the new prepaid cards will live long and prosper.
