Time goes by fast at Disney World so the Orlando theme park is increasing its convenient mobile order and pay service for hungry guests. Remote order and pay via a mobile device has become a highly popular feature for time-strapped consumers.

For example, QSRs and fast casual restaurants have been cashing in on this growing sales channel and will continue to do so. Hotels and resorts can take advantage of mobile order and pay as well since waiting in line is not how people want to spend their vacation.

An Orlando Sentinel article, excerpted below, covers the topic further:

Walt Disney World is expanding its mobile-ordering option for restaurants. More eateries within the resort’s hotels are now participating in the service, which is accessed through the company’s My Disney Experience smartphone app.

The seven quick-service additions are spread over the range of price points for the hotels. On the deluxe end of the scale, mobile ordering is available at the Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and Contempo Cafe inside the Contemporary Resort. Other new options include Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at Port Orleans’ French Quarter; Everything POP at Pop Century Resort; and Intermission Food Court, End Zone Food Court and World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Resorts.

They join two Caribbean Beach restaurants — Centertown Market and Spyglass Grill — in the mobile-ordering lineup. Visitors can use the app to order and pay for food from these outlets then pick up the meals at a designated counter, bypassing the queues and cash registers.
