Belk department store goes live with new product eGifting and digital gift card ecommerce experiences

The gift is delivered digitally by email along with a personal message. Recipients can then customize the gift to match their preferences, select an alternative item, or choose to receive an eGift card equal to the value of the original gift.

This approach addresses one of retail’s ongoing challenges. According to the National Retail Federation, approximately 15% of holiday purchases are returned each year.
