Credit union’s off-site ATM network now supported by four Cardtronics solutions

HOUSTON, Dec. 16, 2015 – In an expansion of Alaska USA Federal Credit Union’s relationship with Cardtronics, the credit union has joined the Allpoint Network, expanding surcharge-free ATM access by 55,000 convenient retail ATMs worldwide. Allpoint is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cardtronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: CATM), the world’s largest retail ATM owner / operator. Alaska USA has partnered with Cardtronics since 2014 to enhance offsite ATM access for its members.

The new Allpoint agreement marks the second time Alaska USA has looked to Cardtronics to provide its members with expanded off-site ATM access. Last year, the credit union established an ATM branding relationship with Cardtronics, enabling Alaska USA to brand approximately 200 Cardtronics-owned ATMs located in many Walgreens, Safeway and other stores in Washington, plus select retailers in Arizona, California and Oregon – giving its members significantly expanded surcharge-free ATM access in convenient retail locations. In a separate agreement, Alaska USA has also contracted Cardtronics to manage offsite ATMs at 47 QFC stores in Washington and Oregon on the credit union’s behalf.

Alaska USA FCU Vice President, Electronic Services, Joel Swanson said:
“The expansion of our relationship with Cardtronics is a testament to how valuable we have found its services to be in increasing our own brand recognition while ensuring that our cardholders have the most comprehensive ATM network – highlighted by surcharge-free access at their favorite retail locations.”

Cardtronics President, North American Business Group, David Dove said:
“With this latest agreement with Alaska USA, we’re demonstrating how our branding, Allpoint and ATM managed services solutions come together to help strengthen a financial institution’s relationship with its account holders through providing convenience and cost savings.”

All Alaska USA branch network and offsite ATMs, including Allpoint Network locations, can be found using the Alaska USA ATM locator – powered by LocatorSearch, also a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cardtronics – available at the credit union’s website.
