LOUIS (April 18, 2018) Clearent, a full-service payments solution provider, announced the launch of Cloud EMV, its cloud-based integrated payments solution. The announcement came following successful integrations conducted by several of its independent software vendor (ISV) partners. Clearent’s Cloud EMV payment-integration solution is now available to all of its current and prospective partners.

Clearent’s Cloud EMV solution simplifies the payment integration process by moving these processes into the cloud, thus providing a single point of access to manage all transactions, regardless of device lines or payment methods. By simplifying the process, Clearent enables software vendors to offer better payments support and more payment-device options. Because of the simpler connection, payment issues are easier to identify and troubleshoot by reaching out to Clearent directly.

“The goal in creating and developing our Cloud EMV solution was to provide software vendors with a simple, future-proof payment integration,” said Dan Geraty, founder and CEO of Clearent. “By putting the payment solution into the cloud, we can effectively remove our partners from PCI PA DSS scope and eliminate their need for EMV certification. This ensures the long-term viability of their payment integration and allows them to focus on their overall software solution rather than on payments.”

To ensure an enhanced end-user experience, Clearent has incorporated its Quick Chip EMV technology into its Cloud EMV solution. Clearent’s Quick Chip EMV card readers have successfully reduced chip card transaction times from 15 seconds to two seconds, reducing customer wait times and improving the overall checkout experience for customers and merchants alike.

Clearent also offers data encryption to protect users’ sensitive card data against malicious hackers and criminals. Clearent is one of the few direct merchant acquirers to receive PCI validation for its Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) solution that protects card data as it moves through the payment system. Merchant customers using PCI-Validated P2PE are eligible to take SAQ P2PE with up to 90 percent fewer questions than other versions of the PCI Self Assessement Questionaire and do not need to conduct vulnerability scans or penetration testing.

Clearent’s full catalogue of payment-device options is available to customers with a single integration to Cloud EMV. As Clearent’s device options grow, they will make them available to customers through Cloud EMV, offering clients unmatched flexibility and scalability.

To ensure a smooth transition to this cloud-based solution, Clearent has a staff of dedicated implementation managers on-hand to support the entire integration process. Early adopters to Clearent’s Cloud EMV solution have responded positively to these efforts.

“We have performed quite a few integrations, and the high-touch support we received from the Clearent team made our recent integration process the fastest and easiest we’ve ever done,” said Craig Johnson, Lead Software Developer at SPOT Business Systems, LLC. “Having a single point of integration for all transaction types, regardless of terminal or direct, combined with the incredible responsiveness of Clearent’s implementation assistance, provided a greatly streamlined process from start to finish.”
