ATLANTA, Sept. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — InComm, a leading prepaid product and transaction services company, today announced the launch of Raindrop™, an enhanced version of an existing FTP solution that lets companies easily place orders for prepaid products by uploading a file. Through Raindrop, customers can now access all physical and digital prepaid products available through InComm Digital Solutions (IDS), including the recently launched prepaid Visa Virtual Account products.

Raindrop provides a streamlined solution for companies to order physical and virtual prepaid open and closed loop products. Ordering through Raindrop is as simple as uploading a standard CSV file to a secure webpage or FTP folder. IDS processes the file and manages all aspects of delivery. Customers can conveniently track orders through an online administrative portal that includes robust sales reporting and customer services toolsets, so they can manage customer inquiries from individual recipients. A quick account setup process and set of intuitive online tools give companies the ability to offer card recipients a broader selection of products and delivery options.

“Open-loop products, especially virtual open-loop cards that can be delivered via email, are dramatically increasing in popularity within incentive programs for obvious reasons,” said Mike Fletcher, General Manager, InComm Digital Solutions. “Being able to quickly deliver a reward adds value to the customer experience and gives the recipient ultimate flexibility to spend the reward on exactly what they want. With Raindrop, we’ve crafted a streamlined online toolset for companies to easily order and deliver InComm’s broad catalog of rewards.”

Digital and reloadable options have consistently been mentioned as preferences with regard to prepaid. Recent InComm surveys of more than 500 consumers found that 80 percent of consumers preferred a prepaid card that they can use anywhere. Additionally, in a separate study of the same size, it was discovered that not only are 96 percent of consumers interested in storing digital prepaid cards on their smartphone for self-use, but also 70 percent stated that they add funds to their prepaid account(s). Eighty-eight percent of respondents noted that they redeem a gift card within three months.

Physical and virtual open-loop prepaid products are among the most popular cards in the IDS portfolio but were not available through the previous FTP solution. Raindrop now opens the door to the entire IDS prepaid product portfolio and offers notable enhancements to the user experience including the ability to upload files through an intuitive web interface.
