Payments Industry Vet to Lead ATM, Debit/Prepaid and Shared Branch Business Lines

For Release on November 27, 2017:

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – CO-OP Financial Services today announced the addition of Kathy Herziger-Snider to the firm’s product management leadership team. Reporting to CO-OP Chief Product and Strategy Officer Shazia Manus, Herziger-Snider will serve as a senior vice president, leading CO-OP’s ATM, debit/prepaid and shared branch business lines.

“The rise of the omni-digital consumer is putting pressure on credit unions to be more strategic with the digital enablement of their payments and other transaction-oriented channels,” said Manus. “Kathy’s expertise is tailored perfectly to this need, and we are confident she will help our credit union partners achieve deeper levels of engagement with their members across each of these platforms.”

Indeed, Herziger-Snider’s training in client engagement and collaboration includes a Doctorate degree in leadership, learning and service. Her PhD, as well as a Master’s degree in management science, were earned at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.

In addition, Herziger-Snider has more than 25 years in the financial services market. She has held positions in a wide range of disciplines, including product, channel and business line management, as well as client service and marketing/sales support. She has previously led teams at eFunds, US Processing, Inc., Deluxe Data, First Interstate Management Services, as well as prior tenure with CO-OP Financial Services.

“CO-OP is making huge investments in its ATM, debit/prepaid and shared branching services to make sure these mainstay industry services have never been easier or more secure to use, and that they work seamlessly with emerging payment services,” said Herziger-Snider. “We’re in a very exciting time in the payments field, in which our credit unions are as much collaborators as clients.”

As CO-OP continues to deepen its bench in product leadership, Manus says a key objective for her team is to co-create products and services alongside the firm’s clients.

“The credit unions in our ecosystem are home to some of the most progressive thinkers in the movement,” said Manus. “Our intention is to infuse our product strategy with their ideas, perspectives and experience. Kathy and the other members of the product leadership team are deeply committed to collaboration. They have already begun to foster dialogue and engagement with our clients on the subject of digital enablement, and we look forward to reporting on tangible outcomes soon.”
