Lloyds Bank Announces New Loyalty Program for Mobile and Wearables

One of the UK’s leading financial institutions, Lloyds Bankhas announced a new loyalty program that will push notifications on cashbackoffers and rewards to registered customer mobile phones and smartwatches. According to the bank, customers can pairtheir wearables with their smartphone and can push notifications straight totheir wrist, which according to Lloyds will “make the mobile experience evenmore convenient.”

Today the Everyday Offers program provides cashbackdiscounts at a wide range of restaurants at a range of leading retailers andincludes a feature that sees the bank select individual customers and repay apurchase up to the value of £500 ($760). According to Adrian Bryant, directorof digital at Lloyds Bank the move to push notifications for Everyday Offersrepresents the first step towards a broader mobile payment and bankingexperience for Lloyds.

Commenting on the launch of the new program, Bryant said, “Ina busy world, we are constantly thinking of new ways to help customers interactwith us more efficiently. The new push notifications will make it moreconvenient for customers to get the latest updates on their Lloyds BankEveryday Offers rewards.”

With consumers increasingly using their mobile bankingapplication, the addition of push notifications to the Lloyds app will help thebank service their customers and provide value added services in a convenientand popular method.
