Maritz Partners With Giftango for eGift Cards

Maritz Motivation Solutions, an incentives and loyalty rewards company, announced on Monday that it has signed an agreement with Giftango Corp. to offer digital gift cards as part of its employee rewards, incentive, and loyalty programs. The electronic cards will enable companies to provide instant delivery within in these programs and provide more options for reward delivery.

Giftango provides digital eGift fulfillment for 125 leading brands on behalf of channel partners such as Maritz. The digital cards are delivered as a secure URL in an email and printed or displayed from a mobile device. Either form factor of the eGift Card may be redeemed at a merchant’s brick and mortar location or online.

While virtual cards have been somewhat slow to catch on among retailers, their presence in the incentives world will undoubtedly increase awareness of them. Recipients who have good redemption experiences with what is essentially found money in the form of incentives will be more likely to purchase virtual cards as gifts in the future.
