Scarborough, Maine-based ISO/MSP Nationwide Payment Solutions has announced the availability of its hosted payment engine, RetailPAY. Nationwide is the latest in a string of ISOs to offer direct processing for merchants. Fully certified under PCI DSS, RetailPAY “will offer integration opportunities that allow software applications to perform their primary function without storing or transmitting sensitive cardholder data.” The announcement also identifies efficiencies around PA DSS validation requirements and revenue sharing opportunities for developers.

In addition to real-time credit and check card processing, the RetailPAY Payment Engine will offer ecommerce capabilities, robust reporting systems, direct API integration with tokenization, and convenience fee models for municipalities, utility companies, and schools. Future releases will include gift card processing, electronic check conversion, PIN-based debit, recurring billing, level II & III processing capabilities, and a Virtual Terminal.

Jamie Nonni, Nationwide’s CEO said, “NPS is a company dedicated to leveraging technology in order to remain a leader in the electronic payment processing industry. We are extremely excited about the release of RetailPAY, which is just the beginning of our presence in the software integration market.”

NPS currently processes over $3B in electronic payment transactions annually for more than 20,000 locations across the United States, including retail, business to business, automotive, parking garages, municipalities, schools, and many other business types.
