Payworks achieves U.S. EMV Quick Chip certification with First Data Rapid Connect

ATLANTA, 25-04-17 – Payworks,a global payment gateway and EMV technology platform with integrated POSsolutions, announced today their new EMV certification with First Data, aleading payment processor in the U.S.

Payworks has successfullycompleted EMV certification with First Data Rapid Connect. Through thiscertification, First Data vendors and merchants can provide EMV Quick Chip, EMVChip + PIN and EMV Debit transactions. Additionally, all major credit cardschemes including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners and JCBhave been certified to ensure a common payment experience regardless of cardtype.

Integrated Software Vendors,Independent Sales Organizations and Value Added Resellers working with FirstData will now have access to the next generation payment gateway technologyfrom Payworks and as an added bonus, access to EMV Quick Chip without anadditional integration. With EMV migration rates dropping, Quick Chip is theperfect solution for solving the longer transaction times caused by EMV.Through Quick Chip, transaction speeds are cut from 15 seconds to 2 seconds andin some cases even less.

Payworks’ payment gatewaytechnology provides developers of Point of Sale solutions an easily accessibletechnology with pre-certified software and hardware allowing for paymentacceptance via a quick and easy implementation. Through this new certificationand with years-long EMV card acceptance experience, Payworks looks to helpdrive the EMV transition in the U.S.
