Plastic Jungle Inc. is bringing its gift card resale market to CVS and letting CVS customers turn unwanted gift cards into CVS cards.

From Woodlands Online:

Plastic Jungle announced today that it has launched a gift card exchange in 7,400 CVS/pharmacy stores in the US. In a first of its kind program, Plastic Jungle is powering an exchange that allows CVS/pharmacy customers to sell unspent gift cards in-store and receive a CVS/pharmacy electronic gift card in return. The CVS/pharmacy gift card is redeemable in any CVS/pharmacy store.

The deal will benefit both companies. It gives Plastic Jungle more exposure and connects it to physical locations by putting signs and QR codes in the CVS stores. For CVS, the agreement could bring more spending to its stores because the customers who get the cards through this arrangement will likely be motivated buys and will not let the gift cards sit unused.
