Tamarack Consulting, a leader in providing independent software solutions in the equipment finance and commercial lending industry, has hired renowned technology industry leader Rick Gretsch to lead product management. As Senior Product Manager, Gretsch’s primary focus will be on supporting the development and implementation of product strategy.

“In July, we refocused its business strategy around investment in digital technologies, enterprise software products, and expanded delivery of professional and managed services supporting digital transformation,” said Scott Nelson, Chief Digital Officer at Tamarack. “As part of this realignment, we needed someone who had extensive background in digital product management. Having worked with Rick (Gretsch) in the past, I know he is the right person to lead our efforts.”

Gretsch brings to Tamarack more than 40 years of digital product management experience. He spent the bulk of his career working at industry giants IBM and AT&T. Most recently, Gretsch served as a key leader of Accelerated Concepts which, after 5 years of rapid growth, was acquired by Digi International. Following the acquisition, he then served as Vice President of Product Management – Cellular Routers.

“I am very excited to be joining Tamarack at this point in its growth stage,” said Gretsch, “As the company pivots to embrace the digital space and the intelligence that comes from capturing data, I believe we have a unique set of skills combining our technology and finance expertise that can help lessors gain advantage in the market.”

Gretsch will continue to be based in the greater Chicago area.
