The Fuelcard Company, a U.K. subsidiary of U.S.-based FleetCor Technologies, has launched a prepaid card offering for fleets operating in the U.K. The new Diesel Advance card, which carries a £12 (US$18.77 or 15 euros) annual fee, gives small fleets access to bulk fuel market prices at weekly fixed price. Perhaps more importantly, however, the card comes with free online reporting and account management tools to help fleets manage fuel spend.

From FleetWorld:

A large number of businesses are still unable to pass credit checks to obtain a “traditional” fuel card with an appropriate limit, leaving them without access to valuable monitoring tools and all-important savings at the pump. Pre-paid and problem free, Diesel Advance is The Fuelcard Company’s solution to this problem, negating the need for pre-qualification credit checks and opening up the benefits to all businesses.

Fleet operators can load funds onto the card with a credit or debit card online, or elect to setup a recurring direct debit.
