ROSELAND, N.J. — January 7, 2016 — ADP®, a leading global provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced that ALINE cardholders can now pay with Apple Pay, which is transforming mobile payments with an easy, secure and private way to pay.

This integration provides ALINE Cardholders the opportunity to use Apple Pay on supported Apple® mobile devices to make quick and secure purchases at participating merchants with a simple touch of their devices. The ALINE Card gives employees immediate access to their paycheck on payday. By integrating with Apple Pay, ADP is providing ALINE Cardholders with convenient ways to make payments easily, securely and privately directly from their mobile devices.

The ALINE Card requires no credit approval since it is not a credit card; instead, it provides the benefits of electronic payments to a broad group of banked and unbanked/underbanked workers. Additionally, through the ALINE Card, employees can shop and pay bills in stores, by phone and online. Cardholders also have added flexibility of managing their account on the go with the free ADP Mobile Solutions App.

Security and privacy are at the core of Apple Pay. When you add a credit card, debit card or payroll card with Apple Pay the actual card numbers are not stored on the device or on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element on a user’s device. Each transaction is authorized with a one-time unique dynamic security code.

“Combining the convenience and accessibility of the ALINE Card with the security and mobility of Apple Pay offers our cardholders more flexible secure payment and shopping options,” said Gary Lott, Division Vice President and General Manager at ADP. “We are proud and excited to be an early payroll card adopter of this innovative mobile payments service.”

In participating stores, Apple Pay works with iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch. Within apps, Apple Pay is compatible with iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3, iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro.
