The UL USA EMV Debit Card Set is a first-of-its-kind in the industry, providing customers with the ability to do comprehensive testing of EMV and contactless U.S. debit cards

TORONTO—(Dec. 15, 2017)— B2 Payments Solutions Inc. (B2), an organization providing best-in-class products and services for the payment industry, announced today that they have introduced a new U.S. debit test card set into their product portfolio.  Developed specifically for the U.S. market, the UL USA EMV Debit Test Card set allows organizations to test and demonstrate payment acceptance devices to ensure that U.S. EMV and contactless debit cards work within their payment infrastructures.

Acquirers, point-of-sale (POS) developers and merchants are required to test their system interoperability to ensure their payment acceptance devices work with the various card configurations issued by financial institutions, prior to launching solutions for consumer use.  This becomes even more critical as the use of EMV and contactless becomes the dominant form of payment within the U.S. market.

“Many merchants and vendors have now entered the second phase of EMV migration and implementation to enable debit and contactless support,” said Bruce Murray, president of B2.  “The announcement of our new EMV debit card test set aligns with our customer needs and enables them to train, test and demonstrate the many U.S. EMV debit contact and contactless payment scenarios on their systems prior to going live.”

The UL USA EMV Debit Test Card set consists of 16 cards, including contact and contactless cards, and multiple AID (Application Identifier) cards – including 2, 3 and 4 AID debit cards.  This industry first test card set provides customers a way to perform comprehensive debit test scenarios such as multi-funding account testing.  The UL USA EMV Debit Test Card set includes Visa, Mastercard, Discover, DNA and Interac debit cards, and a comprehensive B2 document that explains how EMV debit processing works in the U.S.  In addition, customers will receive a document outlining various U.S. debit use-case scenarios that must be identified and supported when implementing EMV debit within the U.S. marketplace.

By adding this UL USA EMV Debit Test Card set to its product portfolio, B2 now has over 15 test card sets available for the U.S., Canada, U.K. and European markets – providing a broad range of test cards to meet the various needs of our customers.  In addition, any of the B2 card sets can be white-labeled to suit specific customer requirements.

B2 offers a full range of EMV test card sets as well as point-of-sale (POS), ATM and host test tools that will guide any stakeholder in the payment industry towards a seamless transition to an EMV and contactless infrastructure.   To learn more about B2’s complete test card set product portfolio, please visit:
