Cardtronics and Walgreens Extend and Expand ATM Relationship

Citibank set to brand more than 1,000 ATMs inkey markets including New York City and Chicago Walgreens locations

HOUSTON,Jan. 17, 2017– Cardtronics(Nasdaq: CATM) today announced an extended and expanded long-term ATM servicesagreement with Walgreens,one of the nation’s largest drugstore chains.

Cardtronics currently owns and operates approximately 6,700 ATMs nationwide inWalgreens and Duane Reade drugstores. Since establishing the relationship withWalgreens in 2004, Cardtronics has grown its ATM presence in Walgreensdrugstores from fewer than 400 ATMs initially to the current fleet size, whichunder the terms of the expanded agreement is scheduled to increase.

Cardtronics is the largest single provider of ATM services to the Walgreensfamily of drugstores, which includes Duane Reade pharmacies.

Citibank branded ATMs atWalgreens
Citi (NYSE:C), the leading global bank, has signed a new ATM branding agreement withCardtronics that will result in broad market reach as well as surcharge-freeATM access for Citibank customers at approximately 1,000 Walgreens and DuaneReade drugstores in key markets, including the New York City and Chicagometropolitan areas.

Going forward, the Citibank-Cardtronics ATM branding relationship, establishedin 2007, will also cover an additional portfolio of more than 900 retail ATMsplaced in other pharmacy, mass merchandiser, and wholesale club store locationsin Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C.Additionally, Citibank cardholders will also have surcharge-free ATM access,powered by the Allpoint Network, at more than 30,000 ATMs located at many ofthe same retailers.

Commencing immediately, Cardtronics will begin outfitting its ATMs withCitibank branding at the aforementioned retail locations, with projectcompletion expected this spring. Citibank customers can always find the nearestparticipating surcharge-free ATMs using the CitiATM/Branch locator, which receives location data updates as new locationsare added.

It’s another customer-focusedservice we’re happy to provide.”
