Technology, Service Partnerships Critical to Rapid, Successful Digital Transformation of Financial Institutions

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – CO-OP Financial Services and Data Systems of Texas are partnering to help credit unions seamlessly and securely transform digital payments services for members. CO-OP products will be offered to Data Systems clients that use Sharetec core processing solutions.

“Technology and service partnerships are increasingly important for financial institutions that want to deliver the digital payment methods that members want and need nowadays,” said Todd Clark, president and CEO of CO-OP (www.co-opfs.org). “Data Systems and CO-OP share the goal of helping clients transform to digital quickly and successfully with outstanding products and client support.”

CO-OP products endorsed by Data Systems include access to the CO-OP ATM network, terminal driving (management), signature and PIN debit processing, and in-house (pass-through) credit. Data Systems, based in Waco, Texas (www.datasystx.com), serves credit unions in about a dozen western and southern states. The company is a co-owner with three other regional partners of Sharetec (www.sharetec.com).

“We have a long-standing relationship with CO-OP, which we recognize to be a top-tier vendor in the credit union movement,” said Greg McEachern, CEO of Data Systems. “We are formalizing that relationship to ensure the tight integration of our products and smooth alignment of our servicing of the industry between our two organizations, which is indispensable today.”

CO-OP offers an omnichannel payments ecosystem to layer over credit union processing cores, enabling its clients to offer members a differentiated user experience that is both seamless and secure. CO-OP ATM comprises nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs throughout the United Sates. CO-OP ATM Terminal Driving helps credit unions optimize operations and reduce costs. CO-OP Credit and Debit services include fraud protection and risk management, analytics and card control, and customizable consumer marketing support.
