Credit Unions Will Activate What’s Next at THINK 20

Credit Unions Will Activate What’s Next at THINK 20

THINK 20, the premier innovation and content platform for credit unions, will feature top leaders from diverse companies sharing best practices and insights on how credit unions can grow by making the right strategic bets on payments, digital transformation and member engagement.

In an environment where new players are displacing legacy companies by eating into existing revenue streams with faster, easier ways to engage, credit unions have a great opportunity to double down on their mission and incrementally evolve into being the financial provider of the future. At THINK 20, credit union leaders will uncover how to turn this market disruption into an advantage, based on each credit union’s unique needs.

THINK 20’s speakers, content and conference experience will help credit union leaders “Activate Your Next” and evaluate the difficult, transformational choices needed to engage members and deepen relationships, leading to growth. The first speaker to be announced, Scott Belsky, Adobe’s Chief Product Officer and Executive Vice President, Creative Cloud, will offer answers on what’s involved in pushing such a venture to completion.

“Every credit union is at a unique place in their digital transformation journey,” said Samantha Paxson, Chief Experience Officer for CO-OP. “Member needs and the relevance a credit union holds in their lives also varies, as does the knowledge and tools needed for progress based on their solution set and level of maturity in the digital space. THINK 20 is dedicated to helping credit union leaders make the courageous choices required to seize the opportunities in front of us, while managing the challenges we face.”

THINK 20, taking place May 4-7, 2020, at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, is open for registration immediately by visiting https://co-opthink.org. The Early Bird rate of $999 remains available until November 15, 2019. After that date, a “Fall Special” rate of $1,299 continues until January 3, 2020.

With payments as a central growth strategy, THINK 20’s first conference day will focus on how credit unions can put member needs first by understanding who they are and designing an experience to help them achieve financial wellness. Day two concentrates on how credit unions can activate and operationalize their strategy from current state to target state by making smart, tough and strategic choices to gain digital dexterity. Day three speakers and content will discuss how to cultivate an organization that enables adaptation and empowers innovation

Scott Belsky to Discuss Achieving Bold Initiatives

Entrepreneur and author Scott Belsky will elaborate on themes from his latest book, “The Messy Middle: Finding Your Way through the Hardest and Most Crucial Part of Any Bold Venture” (2018). Prior to joining Adobe in December 2017, he was a venture investor at Benchmark in San Francisco. This is his second tenure at Adobe, having originally joined the company after it acquired Behance in 2012. Belsky co-founded Behance in 2006 and served as its CEO for six years. Belsky’s entrepreneurial experience led him to write “Making Ideas Happen: Overcoming the Obstacles between Vision and Reality” (2010), which presented a management approach for both productivity and creativity.

“The rapid evolution and adoption of technology today is not only driving consumer expectations, it is opening new doors for credit unions at an unprecedented rate, if they know how to harness it,” said Paxson. “For example, we see payments as the path to engagement, member preference and growth. THINK 20 will lay out a clear path of actionable ideas on how credit unions can take advantage of this opportunity to increase revenue, while also improving the financial lives of members into the future.”

Supported by real-life stories of change from inside and outside the credit union movement, THINK 20 will also spotlight the ways in which CO-OP is partnering with credit unions on the path to opportunity.
