The latest certification for Creditcall’s EMV SDK ChipDNA brings EMV to NCR Silver® mPOS system using Miura’s Chip card reader for enhanced protection against card holder fraud

New York – January 12, 2016 – Creditcall, the EMV-ready omni-channel payment gateway and EMV Kernel provider, today announced it gained EMV certification by First Data for its EMV SDK, ChipDNA for iOS and Android with the Miura M010 PINpad. Creditcall is now integrated with NCR Silver, making NCR Silver one of the first EMV-certified mobile point of sale (mPOS) systems. Small businesses processing payment cards with First Data can leverage this integration immediately with NCR Silver while developers and integrators can effortlessly incorporate EMV-chip card payments into their own solutions using one of the largest U.S. processors.

Earlier this year, the Small Business Technology Adoption Index found that less than 1 in 3 SMBs deployed EMV capabilities by October 2015. Yet Visa recently reported 50% of its EMV transaction volume came from smaller merchants prior to the holidays, despite smaller retailers being slower to embrace EMV. By working with EMV-ready payment solution providers such as NCR, merchants can expedite the process and ensure technical hurdles are overcome as fast and easy as possible with an enhanced level of protection against cardholder fraud in place.

NCR Small Business selects ChipDNA to bring comprehensive payments security to SMBs

NCR Silver supports small businesses such as retailers, restaurants, cafes, bars and service providers with big aspirations for growth and in need of an EMV-ready payment solution. NCR Small Business is able to extend to its customers a comprehensive payment solution that combines Creditcall’s EMV-ready omni-channel payment gateway solution ChipDNA with Miura’s popular M010 PINpad.

Small businesses can benefit from EMV and an enhanced level of protection against cardholder fraud by visiting NCR Small Business and ordering NCR Silver with the EMV Reader.

Creditcall’s ChipDNA mPOS solution certified by First Data supports Miura M010

The Miura M010 is one of the most popular Chip and PIN card reader for mPOS. It uses Bluetooth connectivity to connect to Internet-enabled payment devices such as a smartphone, tablet or another Bluetooth enabled device. The M010 is compatible with a range of peripheral hardware including cash drawers, receipt printers, barcode readers, cradles and wrap-arounds.

First Data has certified Creditcall’s ChipDNA solution, which uses Creditcall’s PCI DSS Level 1 certified EMV-ready omni-channel payment gateway in conjunction with the Miura M010. ChipDNA is an EMV SDK that can be integrated by developers, ISVs or VARs into Android and iOS based mPOS payment solutions in addition to Windows and Linux semi-integrated environments. ChipDNA brings card acceptance to tablets, smartphones and traditional PINpads as well as eCommerce and mCommerce transactions and includes a comprehensive reporting and management tool, a terminal management system (TMS) and point to point encryption (P2PE) for the highest level of cardholder data protection.

ChipDNA is also approved with Visa Acquirer Device Validation Toolkit (ADVT), MasterCard Terminal Integration Process (M-TIP), American Express Integrated Circuit Card Payment Specification (AEIPS), and Discover Payment Application Specification (D-PAS).

“Creditcall’s latest certification with First Data underscores our commitment to ensuring developers have both the strongest level of card data protection and the means to make implementation of the technology as simple as possible,” explained Jeremy Gumbley, CTO and CSO of Creditcall. “The complexity associated with ensuring the strongest payments security is in place often puts small businesses behind the adoption curve. Thanks to integrators like NCR, many smaller merchants are now able to gain quick and easy access to the strongest level of payments security.”

“For our small business community that demands choice and ease-of-use, Creditcall’s payment gateway coupled with Miura’s payment device makes our ability to enable EMV payments fast and simple,” said Chris Poelma, president and general manager of NCR Small Business.

“Our payment devices offer a number of benefits such as sleek design, contactless payments including Apple Pay® as well as a unique revive function which enables the management and support of devices without the need for maintenance calls”, said Mark Roberts, SVP Sales, Miura Systems. “Our collaboration with Creditcall over the past few years allows us to extend to our merchants the ability to always have access to end-to-end secure devices that are proven, certified, EMV and P2PE ready for any mobile or pop-up point of sale.”

Creditcall is an EMVCo Business and Technical Associate, a PCI SSC Participating Organization and member of the EMV Migration Forum.
