i2c Tops $1 Billion in Annual Payment Processing Volume in Latin America and Caribbean Region

Payments Processor i2c, which provides transaction servicesfor prepaid, credit, and debit transactions, announced Tuesday that is hasreached more than $1 billion in transaction processing in Latin America and theCaribbean.

i2c, Inc., a Silicon Valley-based provider of cloud payment processing andemerging commerce solutions, today announced that it has processed more than $1billion in payments on cards issued by partner banks in the Latin America andCaribbean (LAC) region over the past year, making it one of the leading paymentprocessors in that region. Engineered from inception as a single globalplatform for payments and emerging commerce, the i2c platform providescard-based, virtual and mobile payments, loyalty and back office solutions tofinancial institutions and brands worldwide.

The growth in volume shows how the Latin American andCaribbean markets continue to develop as the world moves away from cash andtowards electronic payments. I2c achieved this volume in just over two years,thus giving a glimpse of the opportunities in the Latin American market.
