Prepaid card program manager AccountNow has joined Green Dot, H & R Block, Jackson-Hewitt, and many nonprofits in getting into the tax refund business. The company announced that it has partnered with ezTaxReturn.com, a tax preparation software company, to let consumers fill out tax returns on the AccountNow Web site and then receive their refund on an AccountNow Card.

Through the partnership between these two companies, taxpayers can use the highly reliable ezTaxReturn.com online service to prepare and file their taxes and get their refund in as few as 8 days on an AccountNow prepaid debit card. They can bypass the hassle of high fees and waiting for a check to come in the mail and then trying to cash it.

The question AccountNow now faces is are they too late in entering a crowded market or have they found a quick and easy source of new customers in the users of ezTaxReturn.com?
