Next generation payment gateway, ‘FORT’, now allows merchants to offer even more online payment options in Saudi Arabia

Dubai / Riyadh / Cairo– 03 April 2016 – PAYFORT, the Arab world’s leading online payment service provider, and SADAD Payment System (SADAD) today announced the arrival of SADAD Service on the FORT, PAYFORT’s next generation payment gateway. SADAD facilitates and streamlines consumer bill payment transactions via Saudi banks, simplifying payments bank account holders. Now merchants that use the FORT will be able to offer Saudi consumers the option to have purchases deducted directly from their bank accounts, via the addition of the SADAD account.

SADAD Payment System (SADAD) was established by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) to be the national Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) service provider for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“Using the SADAD account with the FORT, Saudi enterprises will be able to offer online payment options to a dramatically expanded consumer base,” explains Omar Soudodi, Managing Director of PAYFORT. “SADAD offers consumers a convenient way to pay via their own bank accounts, while FORT integrates tightly with SADAD, providing an easy way for merchants to offer the SADAD account as a payment option.”

SADAD makes bank account payments manageable and efficient for the ecommerce world, reducing the challenges of managing payments for banks, merchants and consumers. SADAD already facilitates a wide range of high-volume bill payments in the Kingdom, such as utility bills and phone bills.
“More and more Saudi businesses are beginning to rely on online payment processes,” added Muteb Alobeiwi, PayFort country manager for Saudi Arabia. “The addition of SADAD account to the FORT will provide businesses with the means to accept payments from an even wider range of consumers. SADAD connects all Saudi consumers to modern payment channels, regardless of their payment preferences.”

The addition of the SADAD account to the FORT means that merchants only have to integrate one API (Application Programming Interface) with their online stores in order to add bank account payments to the choice of payment methods offered to online customers. FORT is easy to integrate and comes with a powerful dashboard to help enterprises optimise their payment processes and increase conversions.

By integrating PayFort’s FORT system, merchants can also make online payment available to shoppers through credit/debit card payment, through globally recognized payment leaders including Mastercard, Visa, American Express and CASHU.

The FORT is PAYFORT’s most powerful and scalable payment solution, allowing enterprise customers to manage the payment process from payment options and user experience, through to order processing and bank transactions. The gateway’s powerful, easy-to-use dashboard allows merchants to build their own payment stack by choosing options for payment channels, fraud tools, acquiring banks, issuing banks and local payment services, such as Fawry, NAPS (Direct Debit Qatar) and SADAD Merchants.

PAYFORT is the payment platform for the leading e-commerce websites across the Arab world — such as Souq.com, IKEA.com, OLX, Landmark, Al Tayyar Travel Group, flynas, Air Arabia, Abdul Samad Al Qurashi and flyin.
