Inc. magazine honors the top ten African-American entrepreneurs who are accelerating their companies and achieving remarkable three-year growth rates.

(Los Angeles, CA) February 29, 2016 – Global payment processing provider Payscout (http://www.payscout.com/) was ranked #9 by Inc. magazine, out of only 86 businesses run by African Americans on the 2015 Inc. 5000 list.

“Based in Los Angeles,” Inc. magazine wrote, “Payscout is headed up by CEO Cleveland Brown. As its name perhaps implies, the company processes credit card transactions and provides other banking services for eCommerce retailers. Between 2011 and 2014, Payscout grew its revenues by 1,078 percent, seeing $5.7 million in sales last year alone. It makes its second appearance on the Inc. 5000 at No. 434 this year.” (1)

Payscout is a global payment processing provider with tier-one bank sponsorships in the United States, Latin America, Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and Europe. They provide merchant services for both traditional retail and cutting-edge eCommerce storefronts, specializing in online/eCommerce retailers with a predominant proportion of card-not-present (CNP) transactions. Payscout is one of only a few providers with a true global payment solution, which is branded as the company’s “GO GLOBAL NOW” platform.

According to Brown, Payscout has built a rapidly expanding strategic international business model to support the enormous rise in entrepreneurial-based business both here and abroad. He said this model has enabled Payscout to help domestic and international partners alike expand business and leverage cross-border opportunities.

“Entrepreneurialism is strong amongst the millennial generation, and it is not only creating economic growth by linking businesses together in new ways, it is actually changing the global business landscape,” Brown said. “This has, in turn, created a strong demand for fraud management services and CNP transactions. Our mission, ‘Payscout supports the entrepreneurial dream one transaction at a time’, focuses on providing a scalable technology platform to support a full range of commerce needs, from enterprise-level corporations to small-to-medium businesses. We help our customers reach beyond their current footprint with a turnkey approach that enables them to operate in more than 100 countries (typically a long, expensive and involved process) in as little as a week.”

Brown said Payscout’s well-defined mission has also attracted a diverse team with A-list talent making it possible for the company to grow rapidly and intelligently. The team is committed to the collaborative vision of becoming the thought leading and fastest growing payment processing provider in the world, which they achieve by practicing cultural empathy and customer empowerment.
