Michael Phelps is First Announced Speaker; Registration Available Immediately for May 7-10, 2018 Event

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – “The Race to Excellence” is on, as CO-OP Financial Services unveils its THINK 18 conference focusing on the accelerating need for enterprise innovation and agility to meet the needs of today’s credit union members.

“THINK 17 was all about digital transformation,” said Todd Clark, President/CEO for CO-OP. “Heading into next year, we are no longer just on a digital transformation journey – we are in a race to excellence in which speed and intelligence will determine the future of our movement. THINK 18 is about the operational excellence needed to deliver against rapidly evolving consumer expectations matched with technology shifts, and how to adopt methodologies to speed up that process.”

THINK 18 will be held May 7-10, 2018, at the Sheraton Grand at White Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona. Credit union employees can register immediately for $999 at www.co-opthink.org/events.

The conference’s agenda will dig deep into the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and humanity, helping attendees understand how to leverage both for the planning and execution of future solutions and operations. “Financial institutions are beginning to explore how artificial intelligence improves delivery outcomes for consumers while decreasing costs, enhancing revenue and reducing fraud,” said Clark. “While there are challenges, it is time for our industry to examine how AI will improve our mission as we race toward what’s next.”

Gold Medalist Michael Phelps First Announced Speaker

The first featured speaker of THINK 18 knows a little something about being in a race. On May 8, 2018, swimming champion Michael Phelps will address the audience. Phelps is the most decorated swimmer of all time, having won 23 gold medals, three silvers and two bronzes over the course of his historic swimming career.

“Michael is a world champion, and as credit unions look to lead in the financial services space, we think he can provide absolutely unique insights on what it takes to be the best there is,” said Clark.

Speeding Up Digital Transformation by Informing, Inspiring

THINK 18 will offer a full agenda designed to inform and inspire attendees to speed up the process of digital transformation, and achieve higher standards for services and delivery, through operational excellence. At the conference, attendees will learn to:

  • Lead and advance credit unions in the new normal and stay true to the movement’s DNA.
  • Translate trends into products and services.
  • Partner with unlikely allies and form valuable partnerships.
  • Flip old models and discover new paths.
  • Use data strategy and AI to deliver a more personalized member experience.
  • Leverage trust in in the relationship economy in order to prosper and take advantage of the latest cybersecurity developments.

Now in its tenth year, THINK is a year-round platform for credit union collaboration, innovation and evolution. Visit http://co-opthink.org to access the wide variety of learning opportunities available, including THINK Review magazine, CO-OP THINK Prize, THINK blog, videos from past THINK conferences and more information on the THINK 18 conference.
