ATLANTA, June 7, 2017 –Today the Retail Gift Card Association (RGCA)announced it has opened registration for its inauguralRGCA Forum event October 2 through 4 in Kansas City, Mo. Forum is open toRGCA members and non-members alike. It is an inclusive event for a variety ofclosed-loop gift card industry stakeholders, including gift card programmanagers, retailers, secondary exchange sites, third party resellers,technology companies that leverage gift cards and egifts, processors,manufacturers and distributors.
The RGCA Forum will be acontent-rich, interactive event that includes in-depth discussions on fraud,merchandising, secondary markets, digital platforms, holiday trends, regulatoryissues and other timely topics surrounding closed-loop gift cards. Attendeeswill have the opportunity to attend educational sessions, network with seasonedindustry professionals and participate in roundtables.
“Before Forum, the subject ofclosed-loop gift cards was relegated to a minor track or single session atlarger payments or retail shows. Now, closed-loop gift card industrystakeholders can participate in an event solely focused on this specificindustry,” said Colleen Dorwart, RGCA board of directors chair. “By opening theevent to a variety of industry stakeholders, we are providing an inclusive,interactive opportunity for experts to share their insights, research, bestpractices and more with each other—helping us all stay abreast of existingchallenges, identify emerging trends and maximizing the success of theclosed-loop gift card industry as a whole.”
