Keys that boost or bury the leadership success of women executives
August, 5, 2016 – Reston, VA: The Wnet Career & Leadership Summit (C&L Summit) will take place September 20-21, 2016, at the Westin Perimeter North Hotel, Atlanta, GA.

The C&L Summit is the premier leadership development and networking event for women across the payments industry and is designed to help women understand not-so-obvious factors that limit or improve their success. This intensive, interactive two-day event attracts over 150 women and addresses essential skills to take on expanded roles, conquer challenges, and recognize and maximize opportunities.

“We are excited about this year’s event and believe the theme of “Stand up, Speak up, Move up” is perfect for women in our industry who understand the importance of effective communication, not only with others, but with themselves as well,” commented Christine Lee, President of the Wnet Board and President of Moneris.

Speakers will focus on the inherent challenges in all communications. CEO of Skyline Technology Solutions and communications expert Anthony Diekemper will kick off the event on September 20, followed by a networking reception and silent auction. The September 21 program will include Dr. Amy Baxter, CEO of MMJ Labs Pain Relief who is recognized for her entrepreneurial success and named by Inc Magazine as “Top Woman in Tech to Watch.” Julie Bucha, an expert at navigating male-dominated industries, is a highly successful marketing and branding professional and winner of Progressive Grocer’s prestigious “Top Women in Grocery” award. Reputation management expert Deborah Thomas-Nininger will conduct a workshop to develop leadership skills known as “gravitas.”

Also on September 21, a Wnet Power Panel will be hosted, featuring a moderated discussion amongst four of the payments industry’s C-suite females. The panel discussion will be followed by a meet-and-greet with attendees. The Power Panel lunch will also be open to those in the payments industry who are local to Atlanta.
