THE PAYMENTS ACCELERATOR POWERED BY AG ELEVATE AT PAYEXPO EUROPE 2017

ThePayments Accelerator at PayExpo Europe is a hub for start-ups, investors,accelerators and innovators. It provides a platform for FinTech start-ups todevelop the business connections they need and to showcase their innovativeproducts and services.

Ahead ofPayExpo Europe 2017, Event Director, Michael Seaman said:

“We aredelighted to announce that leading FinTech law firm Addleshaw Goddard will besponsoring the payments accelerator in 2017 via their FinTech programme AGElevate.”

Launched inNovember 2016, with an initial investment of £500,000, AG Elevate is a fasttrack 12 month programme to guide ambitious FinTechs in their development. Itwill support ‘early-stage’ start-ups with no more than £1million of investmentand FinTechs with funding of more than £1million.

Joiningseven FinTechs already on the programme, those selected from The PaymentsAccelerator will be paired with an assigned AG mentor who will help identifyand respond to their unique legal and commercial challenges. Benefits includeup to 40 hours of free legal advice for the year, as well as access to briefings,seminars and regulatory developments and networking opportunities.

Addleshaw Goddard has unique experience acting on some of the most complexFinTech transactions and the structuring of digital mobile and technologysolutions and services. Fiona Ghosh, head of Addleshaw Goddard’sFintech’s Group, said: “Our AG Elevate team is well-placed to offercollaborative, responsive advice ranging from general commercial guidance andsupport to more technical legal advice. We are one of the first law firmsto collaborate with Fintechs in this way and we are really looking forward toworking with the selected organisations that are part of The PaymentAccelerator at PayExpo Europe, as they all have their own distinctiveopportunities for growth.”

PayExpoEurope, the UK’s largest payments technology conference and expo, will returnto ExCeL London on 4 – 5 October 2017.
