Fed Sets 2020 Goal for Faster Payment Systems - PaymentsJournal

Online Banking Concept Background as a Abstract

MasterCard has announced a list of 19 mobile payment solutions that meet what the network describes as “industry standards and MasterCard best practices.” The list includes both industry giants, like Square, and smaller, less familiar names.

The full list of 19 companies: Corduro, Ezetap, Elavon, Handpoint, Itos, iVeri, iZettle, JSC Smartfin (2Can), Miura Systems, NetSecure, Payments (Kudos), Payworks, ROAM, SCCP (Swiff), Soft Space, Square and Thyron Systems.

Inclusion on this list requires solution vendors to request and complete a self assessment, which includes questions such as how the solution accepts payments (key entry, magstripe, contact chip, contactless), cardholder verification methods (signature or PIN), and which specific devices support the solution. It is important to note that omitted solutions, such as Intuit GoPayment, PayPal Here, and Payleven, are not necessarily non-compliant. Rather, it’s more likely that these vendors simply haven’t filled out the self-assessments.
